Imitation is The Best form of Flattery

February 03, 2020 2 min read

Imitation is the greatest form of flattery... When you try New things and they work, there will be some that will also try. It will show people that it can be done! It will sometimes give them the courage to try. That’s a good thing! Being of courage, not being afraid. You don’t know until you try, right? Try things! But also know if it works...others will follow suit.

Here’s the thing...just because it works for some, doesn’t mean it will work for you. Some paths aren’t meant for everyone. Some paths are only for you! Watch others for encouragement , but go your own way. You can’t repeat exactly what someone else is doing because you are not them and they are not you! Be courageous and be encouraged by what others are able to do but make it fit you! YOUR goals, YOUR dreams! Be encouraged, but be authentic. You can’t put yourself into someone else’s dreams. We all have different roads and paths and we all need to stay on our own path, otherwise it becomes a roundabout...

If you try to do what others do, you will always be comparing yourself to others. Comparison is the thief of joy! Remember that whoever you are comparing your life or dreams to is as good as they are because that’s how YOU have decided they are OR that’s how THEY have portrayed themselves. Not everything is they way it is perceived. (Think on that) Sometimes we are inclined to compare ourselves to someone that has worked hard for a long time! You can’t compare your 1 yr to someone else’s 4 yrs! That will only frustrate you more! Reaching your dreams or goals takes time. Nothing worth having comes easy!

Look around but adjust what you see to YOUR dream! Your road! Your path! Work hard, persevere and focus on your path! God has a path for you that no one else has! Only YOU can do YOU the best! Don’t try to be like someone else, they are already taken! You will do YOU better than anyone else can! I promise! Make a BIG Impression! Be ORIGINAL! But go for it!! BE YOU BIG!!
